6 Days to Go

There is less than a week to go until the start of Varsity finals week, where Team Hallam and The University of Sheffield will play more than 70 fixtures in over 30 sports to try and win Varsity 2018. After Snow Sports, Ice Hockey and Boxing, the score stands at 3-3, so it’s all to play for!
Here are a few things you can do to prepare for Varsity 2018:
- Respect the Varsity Oath
If you are coming to any of the events to cheer for your institution, please remember to respect the Varsity Oath. The Oath encompasses values of respect for both players and spectators to ensure that everyone feels welcome during the competition.
- Buy tickets and come along to support your team
Both Students’ Unions still have tickets available for some of this year’s biggest games. Some events are also free to attend.
- Plan your journey
Make sure you allow plenty of time to get to the venues so you don’t miss out on any of the action. Information on how to get to the venues can be found here or in the programme which you can pick up from your Students’ Union or around campus.
- Meet the athletes
Find out what some of the athletes love most about Varsity, their funniest training stories and what the Varsity Oath means to them.
Please note that bringing alcohol to any of the venues will not be tolerated and bag searches will be in operation.
